So I haven’t really felt like writing long meaty posts lately, i’ve been busy settling in to my new London lifestyle, mainly having to adjust my body-clock, which meant no more late night/early morning inspired posts.
A quick update:
London has been good to me (so far) no major disasters and I am very proud of myself for getting to grips with the underground and public transport. For my first few days I was sharing a room with Amy which was very amusing! We went hat shopping, to exclusive beauty sales and witnessed a man pull his pants down in the underground.
Amy left on Friday so I was left to explore the city on my lonesome. Saturday I went shopping/window shopping in Knightsbridge and made my way to Chelsea. The weather was glorious so I ended up buying sushi and Vogue and sat in Hyde Park for a good 3 hours listening to the rock concert and watching the world go by.
Sunday I made my way to Camden... a-ma-zing! Again the weather was beautiful and sitting on the riverside in Camden lock with a fresh smoothie and seafood paella, watching the weird and the wonderful was bliss.
My work experience has been going well, it has its ups and downs, last week I was able to assist with the making of a new advert at Grand Central Studios which was like P Diddy’s studio, and Frame Store where they do the special effects for HP! Everyone in the office has been very welcoming and informative, I have learnt a lot about the industry and the areas I would and would not consider working in.
One main thing I will take away from this experience is that I am not ready to go into a career just yet. There are so many things out there that I need to do and see, I need to have more life experience and see the world. I am going too completely and utterly make the mot of being a student (but don’t get me wrong, will be getting a job back in Nottingham so support or all these things I’m planning in my head!).
...Next stop, Barcelona xo
